Sony recently confirmed a launch event on April 14 this year where we expect the company to launch a new flagship phone for 2021. Rumor has it that one of these flagship devices is the Xperia 1 III and a leak has just revealed its features.

Before release Xperia 1 III will be the direct successor to last year's Xperia 1 II. According to the leak, it will have a 6.5-inch 4K display with an OLED panel and a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness will be 1300 nits and will support 1 billion colors, like the OnePlus 9.

In terms of design, it is expected to look like the Xperia 1 II.

Internal features will include the flagship Snapdragon 888SC, up to 12 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage. It can be found in various Chinese variants with full RAM up to 16 GB.

The triple rear camera setup will include a 64MP main sensor, a 12MP Ultra Wide unit, and a 12MP prescope camera capable of inconspicuous 60x zoom. This zoom lens can be paired with Sony Cybershot optimization. There are no words on the front camera yet.

The phone will be powered from a 5W mAh power cell with support for 65W fast charging. The Sony Xperia 1 III could last in China for around 13,300 before June.
