The Oppo Reno 5 family is getting a new member but it has once again dubbed the Reno 5Z, which has just been officially launched in Singapore at $395. Compared to the base Reno 5, the Reno 5Z lacks some reduction in springs to meet the price reduction.

Now you won't get a high refresh rate on the 6.43-inch AMOLED display, but you'll get 180Hz touch sampling rate, 1080p resolution, 430 nits brightness, and more. It also comes with an optical under-display fingerprint sensor and a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

The camera setup on the back has small lenses but it is housed in a larger module.

Internal and storage

The phone's main chipset is the MediaTek Dimension 800U, which outperforms most Snapdragon 700 series chips in terms of performance. With 8 GB of RAM, the chip has 128 GB of storage, and a microSD card slot for additional storage.

On the software front, you get Android 11 OS based on Color OS 11.1.

Camera

The rear features a quad-camera setup with a 48MP sensor, slightly lower than the 64MP camera on the Base Reno 5. The main camera also comes with an 8MP ultra wide lens and a 2MP sensor for depth sensing and macro photography. This camera is capable of recording 1080p as well as 4K clips.

The 32MP front camera has also been downgraded to 16MP unit.

Battery and Pricing

The 4,310 mAh battery is paired with 30W VOOC flash charge technology for quick top-ups.

The Oppo Reno 5Z will be available in Fluid Black and Cosmo Blue for a starting price of 39 5,395.
